Annemarie Braun, AB Psychotherapy & Coaching, is responsible for processing personal data as described in this Privacy Policy. The processing of personal data is carried out carefully and in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) effective as of 25 May 2018.
For proper treatment, it is necessary that I, as your treating therapist, maintain a file. This is also a legal obligation imposed by the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO/Wkkgz). Your file contains notes about your health condition and information about the examinations and treatments performed.
The file also includes information necessary for your treatment that I have requested, with your explicit consent, from another healthcare provider — for example, your general practitioner.
I make every effort to safeguard your privacy. This means, among other things, that I:
- Handle your personal and medical information with care.
- Ensure that unauthorized persons do not have access to your data.
As your treating therapist, I am the only one with access to the data in your file. I am bound by a legal duty of confidentiality (medical professional secrecy).
Use of Data
The information from your file may also be used for the following purposes:
- To inform other healthcare providers, for example when therapy has ended or when referring you to another professional. This only happens with your explicit (written) consent.
- For substitute care during my absence.
- For anonymized use during intercollegial supervision.
- A small portion of the data in your file is used for administrative purposes so that I, or my accountant, can issue an invoice.
If I wish to use your data for any other reason, I will inform you first and explicitly request your consent.
You have the right to access your client file at any time. You also have the right to have your data deleted at any time. The data in your client file will be retained, as legally required (WGBO), for 20 years.
Privacy on the Invoice
The invoice you receive includes the details required by your health insurer so that you can submit the claim:
- Your name, address, and place of residence.
- Your client number and/or date of birth.
- Insurance and/or policy number.
- The date of the session.
- A brief description of the treatment.
- Performance code.
- The cost of the session.
Collaboration with Other Organizations
From my practice, I collaborate with the following organizations regarding the processing of your data and have entered into data processing agreements with them:
- MijnDiad digital client administration.
- Maas Administrative Office.
- 53 Graden Noord Web Management.
